Lewes....

....Deleware....After crowed beaches at Ocean City,
come on up to Lewes, the beach is sitting pretty;
it's a historic place, started as a whaling port,
now it's for hanging out, I'm happy to report.

The Lightship Overfalls a museum here,
launched in 1938, it helped keep out coasts clear,
built in Maine, it worked the sea, and kept the lights on bright,
guiding ships in or out, over 30 years, every night.

NOTE:  The name Lewes is pronounced Lewis
