Newfield....

....Maine, and home of the Willowbrook Farm Museum,
many exhibits from farm life to the town, go see 'em.
The Town of Newfield has been around for a long time,
November 28, 1688 it started, I've set the transaction to rhyme.

Two large blankets, twenty stings of beads and two gallons of rum,

two pounds of gunpowder, four pounds of musket balls and the deed was done.
Chief Wesumbe and the Newichawannocks had sold the land.
And with that payment, I wonder, did things get out of hand?

All photos are of the properties of Willowbrook Farm and Museum, I thank them for
posting the photos online.
